When placed upon the maroon background, this looks very effective.
Here are my rough designs for my logo. I felt that the colours were innapropriate as they would appeal to my target audience better if they were deeper and more welcoming. I also thought that the design worked best in the top left as it combined both bulky text and also an image. i therefore took this idea into my final logo design as seen at the top. Overall I think the logo is effective as it follows what a good logo should be, simple yet interesting.
